Join our summer Community of Practice! 

The Codon Community of Practice (CCoP) is an opportunity to work alongside colleagues and Codon’s scientist-educators to build your high-structure course using the Codon Learning platform.

Benefits for you:

• Build the entire first unit of your course!

• Receive one-on-one support from Codon’s scientist-educators.

• Collaborate with like-minded biology instructors across institutions to share course designs, materials, and develop long-term collaborations.

When:

Meets 2-3 PM EASTERN TIME on Monday 5/20, Tuesday 5/21, and Wednesday 5/22.

Each session will be followed by an optional working hour from 3-4 pm ET

Topics: 

• Session 1: Backward design with lesson-level learning objectives

• Session 2: High-structure course design and building formative assessments

• Session 3: Selecting and writing assessment questions and feedback

• Round 2: Monday 7/29, Wednesday 7/31, and Friday 8/2.

• Round 3: Monday 8/5, Wednesday 8/7, and Friday 8/9.
